McAuley’s began as the only full service boutique in Anderson, South Carolina, offering everything from cocktail attire to casual wear. Established locally in 2003 by Melissa Boggs, McAuley’s quickly became known for delivering trendy designer clothing that couldn’t be found anywhere else in our area.

Over the years, we been fortunate in that we’ve been able to travel to markets on the other side of the United States, and even met many of the designers whose lines we’ve carried, including David Kahn – the designer behind the very first denim line we ever carried! We were given the opportunity to dress the women on the BBC Productions television show entitled “What Not to Wear: Pageant Rewind,” which first aired on TLC 9/8/06. In this episode, host Stacey London found 3 ladies who competed against each other in 1986 for the title of Miss South Carolina and invited them to be made over for a modern pageant 20 years later. We assisted the directors in recreating updated versions of past outfits for these makeovers. McAuley’s sets itself apart from other retail stores with the personal relationships and services given to its customers. We offer personal shopping, register outfits for any occasion, and have an ongoing call list for customers who request to be contacted when we get in certain shipments. In January of 2011, McAuley’s was purchased by longtime account manager and webmaster Kelin Quigley. We’re working hard on updating the look of the store and website, while maintaining the same wonderful shopping experience we’ve always offered. We’ve diversified our inventory, starting with dropping a few lines with higher price points, and picking up harder-to-find lines that are more affordable to the average woman.
